Captivate Bio’s CRYOVATE™ FD Freezing Medium is a traditional, and ready-to-use cryopreservation media containing fetal bovine serum (FBS) and 10% dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO).

Designed to protect and preserve various types of animal and human adherent or suspension cells during long-term storage. CRYOVATE FD provides a safe, growth factor-rich method for cells and tissues during freezing, storage, and thawing processes.

Directions for use:
To begin, start by cleaning and disinfecting the outside of the CRYOVATE FD Medium bottle before opening.

1. Harvest cells according to standard protocols ensuring high viability (>90%).
2. Carefully remove the supernatant with a pipette, leaving a small amount of mediium to ensure the cell pellet is not disturbed.
3. Resuspend the cells at the recommended cell density
   (typcially 1 - 10 x 106 cells/mL, depending on cell type).
4. Add CRYOVATE FD Medium and mix thoroughly, avoiding bubbles.
5. Then, aliquot 1 mL into prelabeled, cryogenic vials.
6. Incubate vials at 2 - 8°C for 10 minutes.
7. Freeze cells using appropriate cryopreservation methods. Transfer to a -80°C overnight, then transfer to liquid nitrogen the following day for long-term storage.
