Small Molecules for Stem Cell Research

Captivate Bio offers a portfolio of GMP-grade small molecules. GMP-grade small molecules are produced under well establish, controlled cGMP guidelines and are used as ancillary reagents in the generation of stem cells and in reprogramming, self-and differentiation workflows for cell therapy applications.

XAV939 (GMP-grade) is a tankyrase (TNKS) inhibitor, most specifically for TNKS1 (IC50 of 5nM) and TNKS2 (IC50 of 2nM) (Haikarainen, et al.), in turn indirectly inhibiting downstream Wnt/β-catenin signaling (Huang, et al.). XAV939 has been shown to be an efficient additive in the derivation of functional neurons from human pluripotent stem cells (PSCs) when combined with other small molecules including LDN193189 and SB431542 (Qi, et al.). Additionally, XAV939 allows for the enhanced differentiation of PSCs into cardiomyocytes (Minami, et al.).

Alternative Names: XAV 939, XAV-939
Applications: Differentiation
Cell Types: Cancer Cells and Cell Lines, Cardiomyocytes, PSC-Derived, Neural Cells, PSC-Derived, Pluripotent Stem Cells
