Endotoxin-Free DPBS (no calcium, no magnesium) is sterile filtered through a 0.1 micron filter and is considered endotoxin-free (<0.005 EU/ml). DPBS has been used as a wash buffer during the isolation of colonic lamina propria cells and teratoma formation by induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs).

General balanced salt solutions can provide an environment that maintains the structural and physiological integrity of cells in vitro. Dulbecco’s Phosphate Buffered Saline (DPBS) is a balanced salt solution used for a variety of cell culture applications, such as washing cells before dissociation, transporting cells or tissue samples, diluting cells for counting, or as an inorganic base for standard media preparation.

This DPBS is modified as follows:
without
  • Calcium
  • Magnesium
  • Phenol Red

Standard packaging includes 1000 mL bottles. Other volumes and bioprocessing bags are available on-demand including our new 10L bags. Endotoxin-Free DPBS is manufactured under cGMP guidelines and in ISO-certified facilities. Quality tests include osmolality, pH, stability, and the absence of bacterial/fungal contamination and endotoxin.
