DMEM/F12 basal media is typically used as a basal formulation in low-serum and serum-free media formulations, when culturing hPSCs and 3D organoids. This formulation is with HEPES and phenol red, and without L-glutamine. This product is manufactured by Sartorius and available in case packs only.
DMEM/F-12 (Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium/Nutrient Mixture F-12) is a widely used basal medium for supporting the growth of many different mammalian cells. Cells successfully cultured in DMEM/F-12 include MDCK, glial cells, fibroblasts, human endothelial cells, and fibroblasts.
