Captivate Bio adds Lia Thornberry Kent to its Leadership Team

December 15, 2021 – WATERTOWN, Mass.– Captivate Bio, a scientific supplier of cell culture reagents and services, announced it has expanded its leadership team with the appointment of Lia Thornberry Kent as its Director of Technology.

Lia Kent has over 20 years of pioneering experience in the stem cell and reprogramming fields, specializing in scientific training and technology adoption of cutting-edge cell-based models. She has played a key role in the successful development, launch, and end-user support of multiple notable products in a variety of fields and organizations, both in the cell biology and biomedical research fields. Most recently, Ms. Kent was the Principal Operations Manager for Scientific Support at Emulate, Inc., where she directed the design and implementation of customer training modules and ongoing experimental and engineering support of Emulate’s organ-chip platform. Prior to that, Lia’s served in key management roles in Biological Industries USA, Stemgent, and WiCell Research Institute where she helped shape many of the current training and protocol standards being used today in human embryonic and induced pluripotent stem cell studies.
