Newborn Calf Serum, US Origin
Newborn Calf Serum (NCS) is collected from healthy, inspected bovine calves that are typically less than 20 days old and manufactured under stringent collection and processing standards. NCS is used for routine maintenance of various cell lines where low antibody concentrations are not critical. Newborn Calf Serum is often used as a lower-priced, cost-effective alternative to FBS.
- Tested for the absence of aerobic and anaerobic bacteria, fungi, yeast and Mycoplasma
- Low in antibodies and high in growth factors
- Low endotoxin and hemoglobin
- US origin
Captivate Bio has teamed up with Biowest, a leader in the collection of animal sera, to distribute FBS and other animal serum to the scientific community.
